Larry - is it necessary to tear all those boards and chassis apart from back of the mits WD 52525 to replace the format board? Or can I replace the format board from the from of the set?
My mits 62725 has the BGLOD. After going through several posts on different forums, I found out that I could get the set running again by pulling the plug that runs from the power board to the FMT board and then plugging it back in once he light stopped blinking.
This worked perfectly, but I didn't want to have to take it apart whenever the power happens to go out or I needed to replace the lamp so I decided to put in a switch to cut the power to the FMT as I had read some others had done.
I hooked up the switch easily enough, however when I cut the TV on, the picture was distorted. I thought the switch was bad, so I just connected the ends running to it together just to be certain. The picture still came out distorted. Though, when I take the extra wire (the new wire added to run to the switch) out of the equation and attach the original wire back together - the picture is perfect again.
I'm at my wit's end here. Do any of you have any ideas of what could cause the picture to become distorted? -Todd
Hi Larry, Could you send me the repair insructions for a WD 62725, please? I have some experience repairing electronics and would like to try to repair the TV in lieu of removing from my basement. It has a constantly blinking green light and it will not reset. thanks.. my e-mail is [email protected].
Larry, sitting in northern Missouri sulking because my Mitsubishi 62627 has the blinking green light issue. TV won't stay on. It appears you are the man when it comes to fixing this problem. Could you possibly send me the instructions to fix this? My browser will not display the pictures. Thank you for your time and willingness to help others. Tony

For blinking light errors go to the website below for complete repair kits.
My WD62725 currently resides at the bottom of my local landfill. I will never buy another MITS product no matter the type.
We will add you to the LONG list of folks who feel the same way.
