TechLore July Update - New Features and Changes

There are a few updates that have been rolled out with the newest release of our community platform, and I'd like to let you know how to take advantage of them! First of all, you may have seen in the last release that you now have the ability to add your country's flag to your profile. Now, if you'd like to see where everyone else on the site is posting from, you can click on the flag next to anyone's profile. This will bring you to a screen where you can see the flags for all users. Find people who are in your same country or area! You can see an example below. The second change involves the download area of the site. In a previous release, you gained the ability to post multiple discussions to a download. Now, by clicking on the "subscribe to discussions" link within each download, you'll get a notification when new discussions are posted to that download. We'd love to hear your feedback, as always. Keep on enjoying the site! Matt

In our recent upgrade to our platform, we've introduced some great new community features, and I'd like to introduce you to how they work. Rating Content Items First, we've added the ability to rate other content on the site, such as individual forum threads. You'll also be able to see average user ratings for each content item. Go right ahead and start rating your favorite content items, and help other community members find the best stuff! Update And Personalize Your Profile Second, we've upgraded the profile screen, and added the availability of some great custom options. Here's what you'll now be able to do: Add your Twitter username Add your YouTube ID Add your Flickr account All of these will be visible when other community members view your profile. In addition, you'll also be able to select the country you live in , and your country's flag will be proudly displayed next to your avatar! Groups We've also enhanced the Groups section of the site. First, you'll now see a sidebar on the right hand side of your screen, where you can access "My Groups," the groups that you are subscribed to, with one easy click. You can also see...

Important: April Site Updates and Improvements

Greetings, As many of you have seen, the TechLore Community has undergone several updates and improvements over the last few months. As we continue to evolve this innovative and original approach to our community software platform, we hope you find many of the changes and enhancements enjoyable and useful. I would also like to say that as we continue to try new ideas, we really value feedback from you, our users. Not all of the changes we've made over the last year have made people do cartwheels and backflips out of pure joy, but we always have our ears perked up to hear your thoughts and make this community work exactly how you want. The vast majority of changes I'll talk about below are inspired by the feedback we've gotten, so please keep those suggestions and calls for improvements coming. So without further adieu, let's get to the updates! This time it's all about the forums and comments, and I (personally) think you'll all love what's new. Single Thread, Single Topic First the biggest change of all... After much feedback, the concept of multi-dimensional forum threads is going away, meaning that threads will no longer be multi-tagged to forum topics....
