I am still new to TechLore and have yet to get a good hold on all that is here.... I wanted to let the members here know about my PDA support site. There are two kinds of PDA enthusiasts: those who have heard of the Casio BE-300 Pocket Manager (discontinued) and those who need to hear about it. Both groups are welcome to stop by The BE-300 Advancement Society ( www.be300.org ) and see what it's all about. Undersold, under supported, and under estimated by Casio this little PDA is enjoying a long and productive life among those who like to tinker and tweak, tickle and tease the most out of a unit. It's been tons of fun these past 5+ years and (just as I look forward to learning more about TechLore) I hope some of you may want to learn more of "The Art of BE'ing". see ya 'round the forums!

Bluetooth Issue with iPhone (First-Gen)

I recently updated my iPhone (first-gen) to the new v2.0 firmware and it has been working smoothly so far. I was able to successfully pair my Logitech HS01 Bluetooth headset (it's old, I know) to the phone. However, for some reason, I can hear the other party through the headset but they cannot hear me talking. I have tried to unpair and repair the headset to no avail. I haven't yet tested this on another Bluetooth phone to see if it is defective (I wouldn't be surprised, after over 4 years of use, if something finally went wrong). However, I wanted to see if anyone out there has had similar problems with Bluetooth headsets on the new iPhone firmware. Are you finding that you don't have any problems? Or are you in the same boat as me?

I recently attempted to connect my phone to my PC with the USB cable included in my cell phone package, but when it was connected the Search Wizard came up and said it detected new hardware or something so I selected "automatically download hardware" and when it scanned it said that there was no hardware to be found and that was that. I want to be able to put music and photos on my phone from my PC, but it won't let me. Anyone who has had a similar problem or knows how to get past this, please help me!

Would you use a handheld device with a folding screen?

Evidently somebody would. Dutch company Polymer Vision plans to release its Readius mobile phone. They claim it will go head to head with iPhone and Kimble, but I'm way more skeptical. It gets you a "big" screen on a small device, but I envision this thing to be made in China by the cheapest labor with the cheapest parts possible, so it breaks on the 5th time you unfold the screen. Hope I'm wrong, but ....... Anyone got an opinion on this thing? Look interesting? Worth it to you to get that bigger screen?

My phone is soooo old that pieces are starting to break off. I want to upgrade my phone, and I could deal with signing a new service contract, but I don't want to change plans. I have a great plan that is affordable and meets my minutes needs perfectly. But my carrier (AT&T) doesn't offer that plan anymore and the onlyone in the same price range offers much fewer minutes. Is there any way I can get a free phone upgrade and keep my current service plan? Thanks, Sierra
