VirtualBox - The Free Competitor to VMware and Parallels Desktop

Of course, the best part about VirtualBox is that it's FREE. It also runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and OpenSolaris - making it a great solution for virtually everyone! I've been enjoying it so much, I wanted to share a little bit of my experience with this program, and hopefully encourage others to try it!

Evernote Review - A Perfect Compliment To Post-Its

Yeah, I'm that guy. That guy that has Post-It notes scattered all over his monitor and desk, of all different colors. I'll grab a piece, jot down a note, only to complete the task minutes later and throw away the note. I'll think of something when I get a glass of water at 2AM, jot it down on my work desk, and go back to bed. Since I can make these notes so quickly, and I'm so obsessive about it, it really boosts my productivity. I don't forget things nearly as often, and frankly, I have about 1,000 things to remember at any given time, so that says a lot. My note-taking has helped me amplify my multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities, too. See, in my opinion, you can't replace the quick, jot-it-down, in-your-face nature of the Post-It. Whether you do it with paper, Stickies on a Mac or Vista Gadgets on a PC, or even better, through innovative applications like the Notes feature of the HP TouchSmart (which is cool, interactive, and controlled by your finger - I'm a huge fan) - they have a value that can't be missed. However... what if you want to create more detailed notes?...

Vista's Reputation Precedes It...

Here are the main specs: XPS M1530 Intel Core 2 duo processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 3MB Cache) 3GB Shared Duel Channel DDR2 SDRAM at667 MHz (2 dimms) Hopefully this is all you need to figure out if i may or may not have problems. -submitted by codify Answer: Things haven't been good for the folks at Redmond since Vista debuted. With any major OS revision, in this case the move from XP to Vista, there are always going to be problems. The Internet boards haven't exactly been kind to Microsoft's latest; spouting off problems, issues, and complaints at every major corner. Some of these can be substantiated, others are just dribble posted by the Apple fanboys of the world or those who fear change (you know... the folks who like things the "way they used to be.") I've had the opportunity to play with Vista for a while, and while I too can be frustrated with it, it's typically not because the OS has major flaws, but because it doesn't work exactly like the OS I've used for nearly six years....

Get a Portable Audio Boost with Boostaroo

What I have found is that with a simple Portable Audio Amplifier I can amplify and enhance the sound quality to a much better level. There are a couple of different options when it comes to Portable Headphone Audio Amplifiers. One is the Boostaroo , which has the ability to will double the available volume from your audio player and separate the audio signal into individual stereo channels to drive 3 separate sets of headphones or speakers. Naturally it will depend on the ohm rating of your headphones, but the Boostaroo can increase the volume of your player by 100% with no more than a 0.3% harmonic distortion. If you are watching or listening to something that two or tree people want to hear I highly recommend the Boostaroo . If you are looking for something that improves the sound quality for MP3 MP4 Players Computers or Mobile Phones when using earphones or headphones and not so much into sharing the audio with others and are wanting a more quality for an awesome personal listening experience right between your ears I recommend the FiiO...

For the Windows Mobile user (like me), there isn't much out there that works like the desktop browsers. Opera Mobile has been one of the few decent ones (far better than Mobile IE), but still nowhere near the iPhone. I normally wouldn't complain, but Opera Mobile isn't free like Mobile Safari; I expect more from a paid product. Opera has been stroking the buzz machine since they previewed their newest version of Opera Mobile some months back. It first appeared pre-loaded on the HTC Touch Diamond, but WinMo users with different hardware have had to wait to get their mittens on it. Today they've finally unveiled Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta, their newest mobile web browser for Windows Mobile 5/6 touch screen devices. I just installed it and ran it through its paces. Not to spoil it for everyone, but my best advice is to wait a few more builds. This thing is too buggy for primetime. However, there are a few good things to say. The good: Web page rendering is the best I've seen on a...
