problems with sirruis satelitte radio

My sirruis satelitte radio has been receiving only spotty reception for the last 6 months, both in the house and car. I've moved the antenna every which way and sometimes it works, but mostly not. I've had the radio for years and it always worked fine. What confuses me is that it barely works at home or in the car and they use different antennas. I did call tech support at Sirruis but didn't get much help. Any ideas

car radio problem

I recently changed the heater core in our 1988 Ford Thunderbird. I got everything in and hooked up and low and behold, the radio works along with the equalizer, but no sound. I've checked all the wiring and found nothing disconnected. I'm stumped, any ideas. Thanks, Rick

What I have been waiting for....

Last year when we were talking about PDA's I predicted a more integrated product, with a large hard drive. Now, the first version of what I have been waiting for has been released. Meet the Creative Vision M It has a beautiful High resolution screen for photo and video content. A 30 GIG hard drive. MP3 player. Voice recorder for notes. and it syncs with Outlook! Finally - a device to combine a pda, mp3 player, portable hard drive, video player and voice recorder all in one. This the first expensive pocket size computing device that I have bought for myself. I just ordered in Hot Pink. :-) So... I will eagerly await its arival. I will report back once I get it.

The Average Guy's Review of the Delphi XM portable radio

I recently bought the XM portable satellite radio on a trial (14 day) basis. I am not really a "tech" guy and don't have a lot of gadgets. I wanted to try this cause I thought it would be good for the baseball playoffs as well as being able to use it for my approximately one hour commute each way to...

Shhhhhhh... Don't tell anyone, but I've been cheating on my iPod for a couple months now! Yes, I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. These days I don't listen to the iPod at all on my drive to and from work. What is my new digital audio player of choice? Actually, it's...

I own a Delphi XM MyFi Portable Radio

In typically early gadget adopter fashion, I camped out at the local electronics store to pick up one of the first portable XM radios. The latest shiny gadget in my hands these days is the Delphi MyFi portable XM radio, XM being one of two satellite radio companies offering an alternative to traditional AM/FM radio. I had never been a big radio fan, so this nearly irrational jump into satellite radio seemed a bit risky considering it requires a hefty upfront device purchase as well as an ongoing subscription service. But, in a relatively short period time, I was converted! Not only do I absolutely love the Delphi MyFi, but I am becoming a big believer in satellite radio in general. For those not familiar with this corner of the consumer electronics market, XM and its competitor Sirius are the (only) satellite radio providers, but do not directly sell radios to tune into their service. Instead, they partner with established companies like Delphi, Pioneer, or Kenwood to build the devices. If you are considering exploring satellite radio, I highly recommend using a feature-rich gadget like the Delphi device, which brings so much more to the overall listening experience. I will...

Making My Business Trips Easier with Consumer Electronics

It was time for one of those dreaded business trips again. However, this time I thought that I would make the trip a little more interesting by using my gadgets more than normal just for fun. I would keep a kind of diary along the way and keep track of how I used them. When the trip was over, I was quite amazed with what I had done. Here is a summary of some tips and tricks that I used: Pre-Flight At Home - I set up my airline accounts to automatically send text messages to my cell phone 3 hours before the flight and notify me at any time if my flight is delayed or canceled. This is easily done on the websites of many airlines and other travel sites. The alert came in handy as my flight was canceled due to weather so I was immediately notified and able to quickly reschedule my flight. Driving to the Airport - While driving to the airport, I listened to my MP3 player in the car using a DLA FM transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter for power. Parking the Car - After I parked the car on the 3rd...
