A Wedding Reception - Sans DJ?

Are you a little bit of a control freak? Do you obsess over song order when composing your over-mulled playlists? Most importantly, are you getting married soon? If you answered yes to all of the above, have I got an idea for you! It may be time to consider an MP3 player as your reception DJ instead of the typical human variety. My upcoming nuptuals are quite a while away, so I have sufficient time to plan a 4-hour playlist of songs that really speaks to me and my fiance. I've read about this concept in bridal magazines, and this is a great new trend that even acts as a money saver. Why do such a thing, you ask? First and foremost, it really works best for smaller parties of your nearest and dearest, who don't need gimmicky games hosted by an obnoxious DJ to entertain themselves. The company of loved ones is really the best game you can play at a wedding. Secondly, I am a major control freak. Everytime I heard a song that I loved I penciled it down and said...

Here are the main specs: XPS M1530 Intel Core 2 duo processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 3MB Cache) 3GB Shared Duel Channel DDR2 SDRAM at667 MHz (2 dimms) Hopefully this is all you need to figure out if i may or may not have problems. -submitted by codify Answer: Things haven't been good for the folks at Redmond since Vista debuted. With any major OS revision, in this case the move from XP to Vista, there are always going to be problems. The Internet boards haven't exactly been kind to Microsoft's latest; spouting off problems, issues, and complaints at every major corner. Some of these can be substantiated, others are just dribble posted by the Apple fanboys of the world or those who fear change (you know... the folks who like things the "way they used to be.") I've had the opportunity to play with Vista for a while, and while I too can be frustrated with it, it's typically not because the OS has major flaws, but because it doesn't work exactly like the OS I've used for nearly six years....

What I have found is that with a simple Portable Audio Amplifier I can amplify and enhance the sound quality to a much better level. There are a couple of different options when it comes to Portable Headphone Audio Amplifiers. One is the Boostaroo , which has the ability to will double the available volume from your audio player and separate the audio signal into individual stereo channels to drive 3 separate sets of headphones or speakers. Naturally it will depend on the ohm rating of your headphones, but the Boostaroo can increase the volume of your player by 100% with no more than a 0.3% harmonic distortion. If you are watching or listening to something that two or tree people want to hear I highly recommend the Boostaroo . If you are looking for something that improves the sound quality for MP3 MP4 Players Computers or Mobile Phones when using earphones or headphones and not so much into sharing the audio with others and are wanting a more quality for an awesome personal listening experience right between your ears I recommend the FiiO...

Seeing my stash deplete like leftover Chinese food foolishly forgotten and left unattended in the fridge, I decided to make a radical move: get Skype. Why was this radical, you say? Well, I had heard that, in some situations, the quality is questionable. In others, call drops have been experienced. In other words, I had been hearing from all angles that the service is sketchy. Let me tell you - for the past few weeks, it has been GREAT, and I'd like to tell you the top reasons why I'm so pleased with my first experiences with Skype. #5. For a geek, it isn't so bad to not have a true landline Let's face it, I'm always on my computer. I don't care that I have to go to my computer to check whether I received a call. In fact, it's better. No annoying permanent ringing phone, no need to unplug a phone line. I can just change a simple setting. And, if I wanted to free myself from the USB headset I'm currently using,...

Press release that will soon be… released (hate using the same word twice in a sentence like that), Yahoo is extending their service for the connect through August. Once the final day has been reached, there will be a firmware update that will allow the usage of all other wireless abilities (aside from Yahoo obviously) to still be used.
