DS Lite - fun new handheld

The nintendo DS has just undergone an overhaul. Now we have the DS lite, which is lighter weight, and brigheter than the previous model. It is a comfortable fit in your hands, closes to protect the screen, has decent sound which can be connected to headphones or speakers. It plays the two most recent formats of nintendo games, and boasts built in wireless capability so that you can play with your friends, or you can set it up to work over a wireless network and play over the Internet. From the current games, I have nintendogs (lab and friends) and brain age, both of which I really like. This is a great hand held system, very affordable compared to the psp. I love the touch screen, and the microphone voice recognition.

zen nano micro

<img align="right" hspace="10" src="http://www.techlore.com/imagelib/33f594066a59a60a-198c6f3-10bee3b8b26--1b-574594402.jpg">I have a Zen creative vision M - and I love it, but it is really to heavy to want to take it to work out, plus when I use it as a portable hard drive (which I do all the time) I can&#39;t listen to it at the same time. What to do, what to do... What else, I bought a zen nano micro, 1&nbsp;GB (69.99 - way less than an IPOD nano) I wanted in pink, but&nbsp;walmart only had Black. I love it, easy to use, light weight, native with windows media player.&nbsp;

Eye Toy

I just got the Eye Toy for the PS2, with the kinetics game. It is a competitor for the Yourself!Fitness game that I reviewed last year. I like it. It is much more interactive then yourself fitness. It has aerobic and fighting games that let you interact with the screen through the camera. If you like video games, you will probably enjoy this game more. BUT it is only available on the PS2. If you want a fitness game for the PC or Xbox, Yourself!Fitness is still the way to go. If you prefer exercise videos to interactive games, you will like Yourself!Fitness better than Kinetics. With yourself fitness, you get a new workout everyday in the style of an exercise video. Things Yourself!Fitness does better: Tells you how many calories you burned Lets you change the intensity of your workout Tests your fitness level Lets you pick your days Offers you menu&#39;s and shopping lists Lets you win new music and environments for attendance Things Kinetics does better It is fun enough that my kids want to play the fighting games.

E3

Overwhelming. If you ever get to go, stop at the Tylenol booth and pick up ear plugs on the way in. If you want to pretend that you went, go to the E3expo page and buy the gear. What I learned: I need to buy an HD TV. I never ever though I would feel that way, because I don't watch TV, I don't have cable, I don't have satellite, I don't even have an antenna hooked up. Yet I was out at circuit city today pricing HD tv. Why? Because the next generation of consoles are wasted on normal television. (So .... Matt... I know you are reading this. I want to try and connect a game system to my nice new dell monitor, which has the best resolution of anything in my house - how do I do it?) I saw previews on a bunch of games. I saw the new Nintendo Wii controller. Wow. The new games are incredible. We are getting a lot of sequels. Red steel is the coolest. If you get a Nintendo Wii - buy that game to go with it. I'm torn. I did not buy a new Xbox 360. In fact, ...

E3 - pre expo workshops

My thought so far - flying over the Grand Canyon was amazing. Listening to Lord of the rings on noise cancelling headphones from my zen passed the plane ride quite well. L.A. is very expensive. E3- I went to several workshops today. The main expo does not start till tomorrow. I bought some cool T-shirts and Pens to bring home to my kids. I listened to several panels on the future of gaming. What I have learned: 1) if/ when I buy one of the new systems (Sony's release date is November 17th, I haven't heard about nintendo yet) I will need HD tv to take full advantage of the improved graphics. It will work on my old set, but it won't be the same. That is a purchase that will just have to wait until high def becomes more affordable. 2.) The next generation system that I plan on buying first is the nintendo - just for the new controller. 3.)We will be seeing a lot more product placement in games. The goal is to make it natural, so that if you were playing a driving game, you might pass a McDonalds in a city. This is to help ...

I am the ultimate geek.... E3 this week

I am busy loading the entire 9 disk CD set of the lord of the rings to my creative zen to listen to on the plane on the way to E3 this week. Yes .... In my mind this makes me the ultimate geek. I will be updating daily (I hope) starting tomorrow on E3. I have plans. I want to heckle the final fantasy people because it still is not "final" :-) (yes, I know the story... and have read over 10 books of the xanth 'trillogy' as well.) I also want to tell the people who make DDR how to do it right. :-) (Can you say expansion packs of music, I want 80's dance music, ok I'm an OLD geek) I want to play with the new controller for the new nintendo game. I hope they have one I can try. I have never been to E3 before, so tune in here to get my first impressions.
