Some would say I have a museum of my own, but to call it a "museum" after looking through the MEGA museum of Steven Jones.... let's just say his is bigger. A lot bigger.

However, I do have some pretty neat things in my collection, and while he tops me in the total quantity of gadgets (particularly in expensive ones), I could certainly hold my own in PCs, PC parts and gaming. Plus, I'd like to think that I've got a few oddities in my collection that I'm sure you'll all find fascinating. I typically like to collect gadgets that stand out in some way or hold some kind of historical value, but I have a lot of just "stuff" too.

So I'll be covering some of my collections in different segments, and some of the more interesting or unique devices may turn out to be threads of their own with more pictures and info.

First up, my collection of cell phones... which turned out to be bigger than I expected thanks to a few donations from some friends, and even a donation or two in there by Mister Early Gadget Adopter himself. Cross museum donations are common for folks like us. I've donated a few pieces to him. :-) Click on the gallery above to view.

Wow... I cant imagine having one of the old "brick phones."  Imagine what a belt clip would be like for that thing :)

I'm not sure it could actually be a clip. Perhaps some kind of sling? I should have taken a picture of me holding it to my head. It's amazing how huge this thing really is.

Having seen the Modern Marvels episode that highlighted Techlore I decided to check it out and joined the group.

Having worked in the cellular phone business for almost 20 years I have accumulated quite a collection of old phones, both analog and digital.  If anyone might be interested in adding any of them to their phone collection let me know and I can give you more of an idea of what I have.  I don't want anything for them but I don't want to toss them in the dumpster either.

Hi Mike!

Glad you joined us. I'm sure we'd love to see some of the phones in your collection. Who knows, maybe someone out there would be interested.

I'd start by posting photos of your collection here in the group. To do that:

1. On the main groups page click "start a new group discussion"

2. Create a title and talk a bit about your collection and hit submit or post at the bottom.

3. With your discussion posted, click "Create a Gallery" at the top.

4. Go through the gallery steps: name of gallery/description, upoad photos, order photos and captions, view gallery and publish (important step).

Can't wait to see some of the things you have!
