The Sharp Zaurus SL-5500. A really promising Linux based handheld. It used the QTopia interface.
You could reflash it with different custom kernels, effectively giving it a new OS. However, it never really worked. I couldn't even connect to the Internet or really use the built-in web browser efficiently. The slide-down keyboard is cool, though.
