someone pl tell me where to begin. pulled out the board that comes from the main plug. am i in the right area?

I am having a similar problem. My Sony kp-53v85 also will not turn on. All I get is the timer/stand by blinking 4 times. I have unplugged it for as long as overnight and I get the same response -- blinking lights. What should I do?

Have you used our troubleshooting website at http://esupport.sony.com/ If you can't resolve your problem, you can call us at our Sony TV Technical support.
