HDMI PCI CARD

Hello,

I will be ordering a new business hp desktop and a flat lcd screen TV for my training room but business desktop doesn’t have an HDMI port meaning; I have to purchase a pci HDMI card.Can anyone tell me if I will be able to get vidoe,sound via HDMI cable going from desktop to TV also can I hook up my monitor and view on both places (regular pc monitor and TV) please advice

Sure, although if it offers DVI you could also use that and just hook up sound separately. If you really want HDMI, there are a wide variety of PCI-Express graphics cards that offer HDMI output for cheap. You just need to make sure your new desktop has an open PCI Express x16 slot and your power supply is capable of running whatever card you buy. You won't need anything crazy, so something like the GeForece GT240 should be sufficient for most media tasks.

You can mirror the desktop and TV, although certain video formats may be prohibited from displaying on both simultaneously.
