i bought a motorola v3 from an individual, not knowing about the recall in 06. since i can't take it back, maybe someone here can help me fix it. some times the lcd won't come on, but the key pad will. some times it will come on, but the lcd will turn white, then the phone will cut off altogether. i thought it might be the flex cable. replaced that, it didn't help. changed the battery, still no luck. now what? help me. larry dillon rocks, he helped me fix a sony projection tv about three years ago, and it is still just as clear, and plays better than new:)
This sounds like your v3 needs to be flushed. this can be done by connecting it to a computer with the necessary software to update the phone... Good luck!
