my amp for my high make a noise only when my can is on when i first put it in it ever did that it just started doing that  so what could it be

Sounds like a ground loop problem. First with the car running turn the sound all the way down . If the noise goes away its your stereo . If you still hear the noise pull your RCA cables from the amp . If the noise is gone you may need RCA noise suppressors that filter the engine noise out .

is it a whine sound that increase in tone as you press the gas?If you have a power amp, check the body ground, from the amp to he chassis, make sure it is a clean connection.if not disconnect the ground and clean the connection, if it just started out of the blue, you could have a bad alternator capacitor on the field coil. or even a bad alternator.

i just put in an RCA noise reduction filter , it took away the noise but it messed up the audio clearity, could be because its a cheap one i would ask to test and compare before buying one.
another advise i read online is that you could need new RCA wires and\or run them on the oppisete side of the [ower cable as
