Hello I have a Panasonic PT53WX54J rear projection tv.I've had it since 2004 with no problems. Today it just shut itself off with no prior warning or picture distortion. I tried to power it back on and it clicks...but when it gets to the second click which usually turns on the picture nothing happens and the power LED blinks 3 times stops then blinks 3 times again and again. I took the back off and cleaned out the dust with compressed air and a vacuum.Tried again with no results. I read the article on the convergance amplifiers at chris palmers blogspot. Is there any other reason to get the 3 blinks or could I be certain that the convergance ic's are bad? Any other tests I can try?

** Another thing I noticed is the power LED does not glow as brightly when its trying to power up?

**Also some discoloration on resistor at R7013. Thank You.

Thanks in advance.

How did you remove the board to service it. I can't figure out how to detach the large red cables on the flyback. Thanks , Les
