My girlfriend was home during the cable install today. Installation tech left without installing/bringing my modem as well as the 2nd box for the bedroom.

The main rooms HD/DVR box has no sound. Let me re-phrase that: barely has sound if the tv volume is at 100%. I put in a DVD and the sound was at the correct level. Any ideas- the only idea the customer service had was to exchange it for a new box today. I thought maybe some tv setting was set incorrectly. Thanks

The Comcast cable boxes have their own internal volume control that varies the output level. Jump into the main menu and head to your settings. Look for the audio option (sorry I can't tell you exactly where it is, I don't have my cable box anymore) that gives you the setting of "optimal stereo." Set it there and that should get make you good to go.
