I have a Samsung combination DVD/VCR recorder, model DVD-VR357.  It worked well until recently.  I had it hooked up with RCA cables for video and audio.  I then bought a new receiver (the old one blew) and hooked it up with component video cables and optical audio cables.  Now I've noticed the VCR has no video and only sound while the DVD works fine.  I went back to the previous setup, RCA cables for video and sound, but the VCR still only outputs sound.  I even hooked the player directly into the TV input to eliminate the receiver as an issue with no success.  I don't use the VCR that often so I'm assuming that something happened before buying the new receiver.

Any ideas why the VCR would not play video?
