I got a almost new 37" LCD Vizio off a co worker of mine, his nephew accidently hit it with a toy and the power will turn on, but no picture will show.

I talked him into selling it to me cheap since he wants a bigger one anyway. Hes had it only a few months so its practically new. Called a few TV Repair shops and they said sounds like a power supply issue but I'm a huge fan of technical forums like this so I thought I would ask the real experts.... What do you think? Thanks

You said a child struck the TV with a toy. That's not a good thing for an LCD. It's quite possible the tubes inside the panel are broken as well as the panel itself. If you gave $1 for it that's $1 more than it's worth. Sorry.
