I just wanted to ask all of you gamers what your thoughts on what Call of Duty five will be. Just post you thought on what war, what time, which countries, or anything else you wish it would be. If you find the truth on COD5 pleas post it to!

Great thread. I'll add here what I mentioned in the graphics card post that we were discussing in.

Typically the Treyarch Call of Duty games haven't impressed me. COD3 (they're last attempt at a COD game) was more or less the same as COD2, except with a weaker story and relatively little advancement in terms of gameplay. Infinity Ward is the mastermind behind the "real" Call of Duty games, like COD 2 and COD 4.

Don't get me wrong, it will be interesting to see what Treyarch does with the newer COD4 engine in a slightly different setting (back to WWII from what I've heard), but historically Treyarch just hasn't produced a noteworthy title in the series. Here's hoping though...

Well i thik thay chose a path for distruction going into the past AGAIN espeshialy with the war in the pecific. it is so shaky becuse the battles were mainly navil, not ground forces. but it will be cool to drop a bomb on Heroshima or Nagisaci, also to defend pierl harbor from the japs, or to fight abord the Enterprise or Hornet. but i will know if it is a big lie becuse i am a big WW2 buff, espeshialy in the picific.

also head over to www.calofduty.com to see videos screen shots and more.

here is a look at COD 5.

Call of Duty: World at War completely changes the rules of engagement by redefining WWII gaming and thrusting players into the final tension-filled, unforgiving battles against a new ferocious enemy in the most dangerous and suspenseful action ever seen in WWII.

Powered by Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare technology, Call of Duty: World at War brings an uncensored edge to combat, as soldiers face the most harrowing and climatic European and Pacific battles in which an enemy, who knows no surrender and no retreat, will fight to the last breath, unleashing an arsenal of lethal surprising tactics. Peril and danger lurk throughout the battlefield as players combat the unknown risk of the new chaos of battle.

From the remains of Russia and the ruins of Berlin, to the beach and jungles of the deadly Pacific Theater, the volatile action takes on added depth as players employ new features that previously were only-available in multiplayer, including perks, rankings and online stats in up-to full four-player cooperative gameplay. New infantry and vehicle-based weapons, like the potent flamethrower, bring the battlefield ablaze.

unfortunately ITS NOT COMING OUT FOR PC!!!!!
