I splashed a little water on my computer screen one night and of course there are some bad spots at the bottom of the screen where the water actually touched it. But a day later a black circle appeared at the top left corner opposite where the water splashed. Does anyone know why and is there anything I can do?

I have the same exact problem!!! I accidentally got water on my screen a couple days ago, turned the computer on the next day and there was a large black circle in the upper left corner of my monitor. And it seems to be growing slightly larger everyday!

Did you end up getting any help with this??????

Please let me know, as this is a work computer and not my own personal property :/

Thank you!!

your computer screen get wet sir.

it seems that the water penetrate inside.

as a cellphone technician, my solution there is to wipe the screen rapidly it takes long to do this. but that is the only solution that i know to dry the water inside the screen.

I have the black dots too!!! And they are growing!! At first I had only two. Now there are five!! And there are black growths at the bottom of the screen that look like they are going to grow into more black circles. I am not sure if this is water. Not that I know anything about hardware. Mackie28 I tried to rub the screen as you suggested. I am lost. I am starting to think this is a defect in my dell laptop. Any more suggestions out there??

If its an LCD screen you have dead pixils the only real fix is to replace the screen.

I don't have black spots but I have cracks that have spread. Is this something that I can do or do I need a professional? What about replacement cost? Any thoughts?

OK WHEN THE COMPUTER SCREEN GOT WET YOU HAD TO DRY IT OFF SO YOU GRAB THE MONITOR AN IM SURE UR FINGERS WERE HOLDING IT WHICH ISNT THAT LIGHT SO YOU HAD TO GRIP IT WITH UR FINGERS, WHICH POPPED PIXELS... AN NOW U HAVE A FINGER PRINT THAT LOOKS LIKE A SPOT????
JUST SAYING????? MY CORNERS ARE WHERE I GOT THE DAMAGE FROM CLEANING IT... I HAVE FINGER PRINTS IN 3 CORNERS WITH A WHITE LINE THAT COVERS HALF THE BOTTOM OF SCREEN, EXACTTLY HOW I DO CLEAN IT, SO MAYB U DID 2???
GOOD LUCK
