My ancient CRT from the Windows 3.0 days finally died and I went out and bought a LG 19" flatscreen for my secondary display on my desktop computer. However, for some reason it seems to not calibrate it correctly as I am getting a inch thick black line along one side of the monitor. Yet when I switch resolutions for a brief moment the monitor is displayed correctly. It then proceeds to calibrate it wrong all over again.
My only guess is that I am using an analog signal with the monitor instead of a traditional SDI and some how my graphics card may be sending the wrong signals or... something. to be honest I'm stumped.
I did go and get a replacement and the replacement did the same thing. So I'm assuming ether its a brand thing, has something to do with the signal flow from the monitor to the computer, or is my graphics card.
Any ideas?
Thanks
