I have win 98se and need to know if a computer can ruin an mp3.  sorry I'm new here so hope I did this right.

Barring any major power surges while it's connected to your PC, I seriously doubt it. Many newer MP3 players will not sync well with PCs running Windows 98, but the OS itself shouldn't hurt the player.

Thank you. I found the neice using it a week later and said so it works ha and she said yup it does so the other person was lying cause she was mad at me.
