WS65869 mfg 10/2001  (problem has existed prior to blinking light problem reported in other thread)

The left to right alignment on 720p and 480p is 1-2" to the left. (1080i for HDTV is fine)
As in if there is a news graphic on the screen the left 1-2" is off the left side of the screen.

Previous service tech did an alignment (the screen with the graph)  but wasn't able to move the image to the right.
Old fashioned monitors have the l/r u/d adjustments but I couldn't find it for this unit.

any thoughts?

thx

So this was an exsiting problem before the blinking light problem then?

yes, the picture has been shifted left for probably 2 years now.
The blinking has only been happening since power failure last week.

I figure once I receive manuals I will work on the alignment after fixing the blinking problem.

Oh OK, the blinking light problem is because of four capacitors go bad all the time inside the DM and there are sometimes symptoms like interference on the screen or all of a sudden you get black or grey squiggly lines that come and go. but you really do not know there is a problem until you lose power to the set or it gets unplugged from the wall.
