Modern DVD recorders have two SCART sockets; when the recorder is on for playback it plays its signla through the scart to the TV. When off (or timer recording) it can allow the signal plugged into the 2nd scart to pass straight through the DVD recorder to the TV.

I have just bought a DVD recrder with hard disk and iam having difficulty to record films received by my canal plus (satellite provider) gigital decoder. Could you please show me how to connect my tv with the canal plus digital decoder and the DVD recorder.
