The first thing I'd do is check TomTom's website for any software or firmware updates. GPS makers like TomTom and Garmin frequently release patches and fixes for their devices. For TomTom, you'll need to go here: http://www.tomtom.com/support/support.php?ID=3&Language=4

Download the TomTom Home software and use it to search and apply any updates to your unit.
