Ok, so my brother found his old MP3 player, it is audiovox and is itleast 4 years old, I tryed looking it up teh serial number on audiovox's website, it wasnt found, I only have windows media player and have songs from cds, I can't select the mp3 player once it is plugged into the usb port. Anyone know what to do? Also, I want to get this song off of youtube, is there a way to stream audio off of there?

Hi Benjamin,

Folks around here are pretty helpful, but knowing things like model numbers and having a photo of the device can be quite useful when dealing with older gear. Getting it talking with WMP shouldn't be super hard, but more info is needed.

You're not going to be able to stream audio off of youtube with that player. You'll either need to pull down the flv file from the site using thirdparty software then use different software to pull out the audio, or capture the audio in real time to an audio recording program and save it as a file.

Hi Benjinman,

Okay, you did upload the picture properly, but missed a small step inserting the image into your post. Small details right?  No worries though, I was able to sort it out for you.

I'll see if I can figure out what player this is and give you a hand with it.
