Mitsubishi WS65613 Light blinking

I just bought this 65 in tv WS65613 used and the guy said he had it for about 5 years.  i got home to plug it in and there was nothing.  so we unplugged it and then plugged it back and then it sounded like it would turn on then shut off.  it did this for about 3 time and some of the times the screen would have a red or yellow ball in the middle of it that would dissappear.  i waited over night and this morning the power light would not stop blinking and there was nothing on the screen.  is this the same thing as all the other people have been reporting about their tvs
