Quoted a customer on tv repair. He hung up. Calls back 7 months later says wasnt his tv . Ask me if I still have his tv, I told him That I still had chassis , rest of tv was junked. Screen was in bad shape. I mean cracked  and half missing. Said he would get a lawyer to sue me for tv. Could he have any rights in this situation?  boo@bright.net

I am not sure, but we have had this problem as well. We state on the work orders,  that if the set is not picked up with in a certon length of time(can;t remember how long) that it became the property of the company because it is assumed the customer abandoned it.  would talk to a lawyer and see how it is in your state.

In my state you must send a registered letter after 90 days.  Once you get the signed letter back the set is yours to dispose of as you wish.

Thanks for your posts, In Ohio they say after 30 days its yours. But I never had this happen before. I have been repairing tvs for a long time. Told customer I still had chassis, I think I`m worring for nothing. But he calls me back 7 mos. later DA.
