Hi,

I bought this discontinued Sony Bravia Monitor, which means it has no tuner.  You change channels through the cable box.  I've seen people post on sites that they had trouble w/the board in it somewhere around 1 year of ownership.  Does anyone know anything about this?  Is it a rumor?  It's making me consider buying an extended warranty which I would never do otherwise always thinking what I buy is well research and a good product.  In this case, I went to the store w/another tv in mind and got switched into one I hadn't researched.
