Recently returned from an EuroRiver Cruise in which my cabin was very cold. After two days I got the 'DEW' warning light in my view finder and couldn't remove it even by taking out of cabin for several hours to allow the camera to adjust to outside temperature. I tried several of the suggested cures (denatured 99% water free alcohol, hair dryer, prodding the solder points on the 'DEW' sensor) all to no avail. I took a deep breath and did the most drastic one listed, re-solder the contacts on the dew sensor. Lo and behold it cured the 'DEW' problem and I was able to use the Sharp video camera once again. Becareful in doing this as it is easy to melt the plastic bracket that holds the tape with the hot soldering iron. Good luck.
