I have a mitsubishi rear projection TV from around 2003. It recently stopped working. After reading several web pages I replaced the 5A pico fuse F9A05. Now the tv just has the green light on the front and will not power up. Any ideas on what might be wrong here?
I don't work on mits, but as a general rule fuses don't blow unless something caused them to blow. If this fuse is on that dm module that Larry talks about all the time, the most likely cause is those 1000 mfd caps caused it to blow, i would check that fuse again and try changing those caps if this tv is a part of the dm trouble, but i am sure(hope) Larry will comment on that.
I've joined the blinking nation. I have a Mits 48513 that I bought in early '04 and its been in blinking mode for about a month now. I bought a warranty and, just tonight, they (Fry's) say that it's not economical for them to fix and they want to replace it with a "brand new out of the box Samsung HCT 50755". I've done some research on this, and it appears that HCT is a cheaper brand of tv made in Korea, plus this model is not even 1080. I know I've seen prior emails somewhere (maybe not on this site, but they're all over the place) that I probably have a bad DM module, but I can't locate the instructions and what I need to possibly fix it on my own. (I have to laugh when I read what I just wrote because I have no clue when it comes to things like this...) I might as well give it a try. Could someone please either send me what I need or direct me to where I need to go? Thank you so much!!!

Hi again Larry. Thanks for the info around a month ago.Ive been out of town and just got around to replacing the caps.One was swollen but replaced all four. Plugged it back up and again blinking light. Reset and unplugged rechecked conneections and nothing but blinking light. Unplugged it over night and next morning cant even get a blinking light. Any suggestions on the next most probable culprit?
I should clarify that it is not a blinking light. The light is solid the projectors won't fire up. sorry for the vagueness..
i have power problems with my mits WS65869. power lite comes on for a sec and goes back off. set is dead. anyone have any ideas that may help me. qoute over the phone....$750 for a new power supply. jeez i hope not..

i had a tech come out .. i.m in maryland .. IC was fried .. he knew that cuz the two 5 amp pico fuses blown ............ cost me 350 .. 2002 model .. maybe high to some, but it.s up and workin' and i.m happy .. i didn.t find this site in time .. but so many talk DM .. when mine was the OTHER problem
don.t forget to wipe dust off lens with a soft cloth when done .......... like a new pic .. lol !!
problem was .. turn on, green light come on for 3 seconds, no pic and then shut off .. you could hear a click ..... when it shut off

am also in md.... sure would like to know the name of ur tech. I called BIG SCREEN STORE and they referred me to the $750 quote I got . Ur 350 sounds a lot better.

lol .. i bought from big screen myself in annapolis .. they refer to thier people I.m sure and whewwww are they expensive .. prob same folks they had deliver / set up my tv .. n e way ..

hd, plasma, lcd and dlp repair tell him his customer from easton dropped his name .. prob won't get you a better price, but will let him know that good work will get him more work ..
