Hi Larry -
I had my Mits WS-55813 fixed twice (once under warranty) for the green light problem. A few months ago I paid $400 for a repairman to come out and fix it again.
Now I have a different problem: When watching a DVD for a while, the screen will suddenly start to roll fast vertically. If I turn the TV off and back on, the picture comes back ok, but the roll occurs more often after that. Logically, seems like a heat-related problem.
When playing video games, the set will, after about 20 minutes, lose the picture completely and go to blue. Repowering the set will fix it temporarily but again the issue happens more and more frequently until it's unusable.
I felt like I got pretty ripped off last time, considering the tech replaced about $15 worth of parts. I want to see if I can resurrect the TV myself and save several hundred dollars.
Any idea what specifically might cause these problems? Could you send me a copy of the service manual for the WS-55813? I'm experienced with tech, I've disassembled and repaired cameras before, but a TV is a new one. I'm aware of the massive voltages involved and know that I need to discharge certain capacitors or risk getting burned. Any other tips for working on this specific model would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time!
Phil

I was reading most of the Mitsubishi TV sets with Green Light Blinking, and they refer to having issues with the DM Module.
My question goes to Larry Dillon, Does the ws-55813 could have the same problem I been reading about on the other posts? Is the repair manual with wiring schematics for this unit available?

The best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, no need to search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK IC'S , not those cheap aftermarket or china made IC'S full pictorial directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most cases,

I forwarded to you copies of my files I used to fix the prob with my unit. Don't know if it's the same unit as yours but hope it works as well for you as it did for me-- did my fix about 7 weeks ago, (just at the beginnning of football season) and has been working like a charm since.

My 5-year old WS-55813 regularly turns itself off after 30 minutes (blinking green LED) but only on digital channel 80.1 (ABC on Comcast), other channels, component and video inputs work fine.
I replaced four 1000 uF, 16 V, 105 C capacitors and two 4-A fuses on DM board but the set keeps turning itself off. I did several reset but it still turns off. I bought the kit here: http://tvrepairkits.com/order-now/209.html
Is there anything else I can do to prevent this? Could it be a "bad" digital signal carried in this band for channel 80.1, unlikely?
Larry and Speed, any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Please kindly send me WS-55813 info and service manual. Thank you.
