Larry & Riley, I received the WS-65813 service manual that you sent and replaced the 4 CAPS on the DM Module with 1000uF, 35V, 105c capacitors. Verified cap polarity and proper solder connections. Upon power up, have the same issue: continuous "Blinking Green Light". Reset button has no effect. The unit makes NO unusual sounds. Could the eeprom board be bad. Is it labeled "E2P" on the DM circuit board. Any suggestions regarding where I might obtain a replacement eeprom or other circuit board parts. Do you have any additional troubleshooting advice. Your suggestions are appreciated.

By way of information, I sent a letter to Mitsubishi's Consumer Relations Department with a copy to Mitsubishi's President and CEO discussing this issue.  vicnlinda@hotmail.com

The following link has been added to this thread: http://www.techlore.com/article/24711/Mitsubishi-Blinking-Green-Light-Repair-... Follow the repair procedure discussed in this Article to replace bad capacitors. A service manual link is provided for those in need of a Mitsubishi Service Manual for your specific Model. Good luck in the repair.

I have the same blinking green light problem & my tv won't turn on. I went to Radio Shack to get the 35V, 105 deg. C capacitors, but they only had 50V, 105 deg. C capacitors. Can anyone tell me if the 50V capacitors will work still?

I have the Mitsubishi WS-65813 television and the "blinking green light issue". I am not tech savvy in the slightest. Is this something I can fix on my own. Please send instructions kelworthen@yahoo.com and thank you in advance!

I have the ws65813 but instead of a blinking light I have no light. I just shut the TV off one evening and the next day nothing. No power no click no light. Would the 4 caps cause this?

April 12, 2009 11:09 PM

Kel, The caps probably need replacing too, but it sounds like the convergence IC's may be bad I will include an IC replacement doc and it is for a different model but the TV sets are Just about the same for convergence IC replacement, The very first thing you want to do is check F9A04 and F9A05 for continuity, there is a small chart inside on the side of the set that shows where all the different fuses are. These fuses do not look like the typical glass type fuse's If you find any bad fuses, DO NOT REPLACE theme without first REPLACING THE CONVERGENCE IC'S then replace the bad fuses

Sorry about that. My model is a WS65813. My email is leeanderson@windstream.net Thanks

Thanks for the instructions. My only other question regarding this issue is that I have no blinking light. Does that mean that the two fuses you mentioned in your instructions may be blown?

Hi Larry

I have a Mit WS-65517...blinking green light problem. Set does not even have 100 hours of 'on time'!
I am assuming caps. Could you please send me instructions & part numbers along with their locations so that I can fix this darn thing? Thanks a million.
