Larry & Riley, I received the WS-65813 service manual that you sent and replaced the 4 CAPS on the DM Module with 1000uF, 35V, 105c capacitors. Verified cap polarity and proper solder connections. Upon power up, have the same issue: continuous "Blinking Green Light". Reset button has no effect. The unit makes NO unusual sounds. Could the eeprom board be bad. Is it labeled "E2P" on the DM circuit board. Any suggestions regarding where I might obtain a replacement eeprom or other circuit board parts. Do you have any additional troubleshooting advice. Your suggestions are appreciated.

By way of information, I sent a letter to Mitsubishi's Consumer Relations Department with a copy to Mitsubishi's President and CEO discussing this issue.  vicnlinda@hotmail.com

The following link has been added to this thread: http://www.techlore.com/article/24711/Mitsubishi-Blinking-Green-Light-Repair-... Follow the repair procedure discussed in this Article to replace bad capacitors. A service manual link is provided for those in need of a Mitsubishi Service Manual for your specific Model. Good luck in the repair.

Brandon, try to find someone who can solder, or pay an expert to do it cause you have one chance to save this board. If you damage the printed circuit, you will have to buy a very expensive board, i am sending you the info. Good Luck

Larry:

I have a WS-65813.  I think a tech. replaced the caps while it was still under warantee.  I would like to replace them just to see if this cheap repair does the trick.  If it doesn't work I think it will be time to upgrade to new technology.

Could you please send me the instructions on the cap replacement?

Many thanks

Ken

Larry, looks like I am having the same blinking light problem with my WS-65813.  However, this is at least the third time but previous to this time I have been able to eventually reslove the problem by simply unplugging set several times or holding down the power button.  Set would then work great for 7 or 8 months before problem would happen again.  Any ideas on what that was all about? Regardless could you please send me the cap replacement info.

Thanks,

Rick

Just to let everyone know.  I have a WS-65813.  It had the blinking green light DM issue.  I removed the DM Module, replaced the four caps and re-installed the board only.  I did NOT re-insert the board back into the cage out of which it came.  I just made sure that the copper fingers that were at one time touching the side of the cage did not touch the board.  I did this by bending the one on the left side so that it pointed straight up.  The TV works GREAT!

The metal case is on the board for a reason. Yes it may work now, but you may get interference without it at one point. You really should reinstall the case. That's my pro opinion. Sealed

Larry Dillon said: cantaim, I have sent you the documents. Make sure the board is seated well into the board below the DM board. Also read the article, it explains about some small surface mounted fuses that go bad sometimes also. Good Luck

Larry,

I have the same blinking green light with my WS-65713.  Do you have a service manual and/or repair instructions on how to replace the four capacitors?  This seems to be a problem to all these Mitsubishi projection TVs.  I would appreciate any help you can provide.  Thanks in advance.  My email is jose91946@sbcglobal.net.

Larry Dillon said: Speed, You will need to contact an authorized Mitsubishi parts house and ask them, as the manual does not even have a schematic or parts list for the DM board, only a part number for the entire board. I have never replaced the eeprom board in one of these TV sets. If the Caps do not fix the problem, I'm afraid the only option is to replace the DM. Good Luck

Larry:  I am a pending new member, having found you today when searching for help related to my green light blinking on Mitsubishi WS-65813 - was told that it was not repairable, but that I needed to get the DM Board replaced for big money.  Your information seems to imply that we could get the DM Board functioning by replacing the CAPS.   Do you have instructions to email me to assist in that repair process?  Obviously if I can fix it that way, I win....

Hello Larry,

Like all the others I'm having the green blinking light problem.  The first few times it came back to life, the last time it took hours for the light to stop blinking but it did come back, now it just continues blinking.  I have model # WS-65613.  If you would please send me any information on how to fix this problem, and/or the service manual, I would appreciate it very much.  My email is sheedevil@juno.com

Thanks!  :)
