I found a funny TechLore article from a few years back, called "Free DVD Player with Purchase." The gist is that this person got a DVD player for free when buying a hookup cable. Only in the gadget world do you get the component free when you buy the cables, though I can't say these types of the promotion are the norm... or are they?

What's the best freebie you've ever gotten with a purchase?

MMM the Xbox, whats all the hype about this game system compared with all the other systems. To tell you the truth, I still have my intellivision and my atari 2600. What else do you need? yea I know better graphics and stuff like that. I wish i had the time to play a game like the Xbox, or the WII.
