Ok, worse case, the picture tube could be bad,but it could be a few things other then that as well. it could be a bad connection on the CRT(picture tube) board. Most of the time the socket has a bad connection or is not seated all the way onto the neck of the picture tube. It could aslo be a problem in the RGB drive circuitry. if thats the case ior if the picture tube is bad, most likly it will not pay to have someone look at it. Check the warranty as some peeps give a 2 to three year picture tube warranty. if not, you will have to decide if its worth lugging into a shop and paying a diagnostic fee to repair, as I would not recomend anyone opening this set if they do not have any TV repair experience. it could, like I said, be a minor, or a major problem.
