I am hoping someone can assist me with this problem!  My niece and her friend have some how locked my panasonic DVD-cv35 player and I can't figure out how to get it unlocked!  Panasonic's website doesn't offer tech support for this model (it is about 5 years old)  The DVD player will not open or close and it won't turn off unless I unplug it.  The remote doesn't have any unlock button and neither does the player itself.  Has anyone run into this before?  Please help!

Thanks!

I skimmed through the manual for the DVD-CV35, and didn't see any reference to a key lock. You can try to reinitialize the player by stopping the player, hold down the track reverse and pause keys, then press and hold the open/close button for about 3-5 seconds.

You may want to dig through the manual a bit more than I did. It is available from Panasonics website. You'll find it here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DVDCV40.PDF

(It's the same manual for the CV40 and CV35)

Good luck.

Matt,

Thank you SO much!!  It worked!  You are great and I really appreciate you getting back to me on this problem and sending me the owner's manual.  I'm going to save it to my hard drive in case I run into this problem again.  This website is extremely helpful!

Thanks again!

Julie
