I've used the products from Sonic pretty successfully.  Might want to check them out.

We have a 52" RCA television (not a flat screen), and periodically it loses the sound.  We have to turn it off and back on again, and allow it to go through its setup dance to get the sound back.  Recently the sound has been going off more frequently, and sometimes it comes back on by itself, although just for a short time, and then goes off again.  It's extremely annoying.  We purchase an RCA home theatre system but don't have it hooked up yet; would connecting it solve our problem??  (The holdup is the RF modulator - we purchased it but I don't think we have all the wires/cables we need to connect it.)  I don't want to buy a new TV right now!
