I have used Pinnacle Studio 8 QuickStart to burn a film on to Sony dvd-r and TDK dvd-rw discs. My Samsung dvd-r122 will not play either of them. I have also tried to burn it using Nero.

I have been successful in the past using the above software to play on a different dvd player which I have now thrown away.  This was done on a Sony-R disc which does play successfully on the Samsung DVD R-122 player.

 I have tried initialising the new TDK discs and also formatting them on the DVD player as it gives me a message to do this when I try to play the burnt video.  Neither has been successful.
