Have a Mitsubishi big screen tv that turns itself off after about 5 min of watching it. Any ideas on a easy fix? Or has this TV seen its last???

If you have an LCD type set, there is a good chance this can fixed with a firmware upgrade. You might call Mitsubishi Parts in Georgia, or just search their Website for any downloads for your model.

Thanks I'll look up the model number and look at their website.

Ok I had the same problem until last night this was my problem it might not be your problem

The picture mode on my new Mitsubishi tv a newer model was set on brilliant and it was making
"The lamp " in the back of the tv overheat so I put it at a different picture mode and that fixed it.

Some examples of picture modes are: game bright natural brilliant ect.
