We have a 50" Pioneer tv. The color is showing a shadow. We tried the conversion but that did not work. Any ideas. It is a projection tv about 6 years old. Thank you

Hi Carol, sorry to hear about your shadow problem.

Is the shadow of another color, or is it something different?

The shadow is different colors. When we do the conversion the colors on the x are not aligned. It says to use your up and down button to align them, but they won't go together.

only1girl, the discoloration should go away the more you turn on your TV from a cold start.  If it does not go away, try to unplug the set for a good 12 to 24 hours, then plug in.  It should get better everytime you do this.  If it does not, then you have a problem with the automatic deguassing circuit inside the TV set.  This is not somthing you want to mess with.  its a repair job for a pro.  But im guessing , you will wake up tommorrow and see a good picture once again.  Let us know how you made out.  Good Luck

Suggest you call someone out to deguass your screen.  Your tv does have a built-in one but it's not as powerful as the hand held ones used by repair techs.
