I turned on the TV tonight and was startled to see blue shadows on the screen. After consulting my local expert, it was confirmed that I needed to adjust my convergence. However, when I went into the menu to adjust the blue convergence, it wouldn't let me. The blue crossbars won't move! The red ones do move however. Can this be fixed or is this a repair question?

I decided that this must be a repair question so I had someone come out to service the TV. It in fact was broken as the 'convergence output' inside the TV needed to be replaced. All is better now. Thank goodness I bought an extended warranty!

How did it take for them to repair your TV? I am having the same problem and called they are coming out this weekend to repair it. My warranty is over and the place that I called has set prices based off the minutes or hours it takes to repair the problem.

In the home i would say if he is average about an hour to an hour and a half, if all goes well. Depends on the skill and familiarity the tech has with your model/brand of set. If he needs to converge it afterwards it may take allot more time. So an exact cost is difficult but i hope you get the picture

Thanks that does help, I can estimate the highest amount then. They charge a $100 fee for doing it in your home. Then $50 for 0-15mins; $120 for 15-45; and $170 for anything over 45mins.
