I came across a link to this device Abe USB Bluetooth Stereo Cassette BT 80C. It appears to be a cassette Bluetooth adaptor for your car stereo, just like those old ones we had for our portable CD players.

Has anyone heard of this before? It seems like it could be cool, although my Dell DJ isn't Bluetooth enabled. :(

Any way I could use this with my Treo 650?

It would be cool if that had a microphone and you could use it as a wireless phone car adapter.

As it is, I simply use one of the old cheap casette adapters to hook up my ipaq to the car stereo to play mp3s and audiobooks.

Seems interesting, but most cars don't have cassettes anymore. And if your car does have an adapter is it that big of an advantage to remove the wire? I would still keep it in the console of the middle of my car with or without the wire.

I have to agree with Ron, not having the wire isn't that much of a big deal in this application.

As far as your Treo goes, I don't see why not. As long as your Treo supports the proper Bluetooth profile (I'm sure it does) you could pump your MP3's from your phone to your car deck. You could probably even set it up to send the audio for calls to the car stereo, but you'd still have to speak into the phone.
