Hi everybody I'm a newbie

Hi everybody I'm a newbie here. I have the dreaded "Green blinker" too! Mine is a WS-55511. Do the repairs I've read apply to it also? You mention an Input and Menu buttons to test the Error Codes this set doesn't have an Input button. I assume one of the other buttons does the job. I tried the Enter button and Menu but no luck. So I thought I'd try you before anything else.
Looking forward to your response. Thanks Tim

Hello Larry,

Hello Larry,

I too have the "flashing green light" problem with my WD-62525.  I'm curious.  Do these instructions you're talking about for fixing the "flashing green light" problem have to do with replacing capacitors?

If so, I would really appreciate some help.  Are the instructions available online somewhere?  Are they the same as the ones in the earlier link?  Maybe more detailed?  Thanks.

Hey Everyone,

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to report success so far with the repair. My set was a WS-55511 had to replace 7 capacitors in it and this model doesn't have the space problem of some of the newer ones. Plus the DM unit is a complete seperate unit. Just unplug open up remove board and changed capacitors and fored right back up.
Thanks Again to Everyone.

This happened once before about 2 years ago and cost us almost $600.00 to fix...financially cannot do that again! Could you please send me the needed Repair Documents to help fix this problem...thank you for your time, I really appreciate it!

Hi Michelle,

Hi Michelle,

We have had that problem also after I tried reprogramming the channels once digital came to cable.Dont know if this will help you but This is what we do. Unpluged the tv and let it set overnight.Plug it back in and hope it reboots.I'm trying to think o what else we have done. We tried so many different things. I will go into my bookmarks to see if I can find a post that helped me. Good luck.

Larry Larry, I hope your still out there. Same problem, constant green blinking light. I've tried replacing the caps but still have the blinking light. Is there a fuse that you mentioned that could be bad as well? If so I can't find it.

Please send the instructions to me for model ID ws65869 so I can check to see if I've done the repair properly and any other ideas you might have.

try leaving your tv unplugged

try leaving your tv unplugged for 24 hrs then plug back in. We unplug our tv every night now every night now after watching. Still working. and if you get the blue screen, try reprogramming the channels.

I did the same thing when my

I did the same thing when my Mit started acting up, and unplugging it like this solved the problem for about 6 months. If you can call this a solution. It's more a 'pain in the butt'. My guess is that unplugging the TV allows the capacitors to cool off and to discharge - allowing for another day's watching.

After replacing the capacitors (3 years ago) all is well !!!

On the Mitsubishi tv ws

On the Mitsubishi tv ws-55859 blinking green timer light , is it the capacitors or the DM board. like to fix my self money is tight , ty chris

There are 8 each 1000 MFD

There are 8 each 1000 MFD capacitors on the board. It's been a while since I did it, so my memory might be fuzzy. As I recall, they are on the DM board. The originals are rated 16 VDC @ 70 deg C. I replaced them with 25 VDC @ 105 deg C capacitors that I bought from Digikey.com - total cost was less than $10.00

If you do not have experience soldering, I *strongly* recommend that you remove the board and take it to an electronics repair shop (or a friend who has experience) and let them replace the caps. Soldering technique looks easy, but it takes practice, the right tools, and know-how to do it right.
