Yet another Blog?!
Vista has been released. Are you buying it? The Geeks aren't. Not any time soon at least. Why? Lots of reasons. One thing is its price tag. Ugh. (Note to M$: Linux is free!) Another is its draconian DRM features. Another is that we are not hearing much about any new security enhancements. C'mon, security should have been at the top of the must-build list. Ok, so it has a nice new shiny interface. Great, but doesn't OS X and so many different window managers under Linux already have that? What do you think?
On another note, the Geeks are at it again. We've recently launched a couple of new blogs, and would like you to take a look (i.e. read) and let us know what you think. If you like it, add it to your favorite RSS reader and add to the conversations. So what are they? First up is Geekfoolery - talking about technology (like Vista) without getting too deep into the weeds, and keeping an eye on how the changing tech landscape affects us mere mortals. Next up is Non-PC Geeks, and if you can't guess by the name, these guys aren't holding back any punches. They call it like they see it - they're main focus is on hardware and games, mmm... games, but they've already talked about Vista and Net Neutrality.
More blogs you say? Ya. You don't have to read them, but take a look - you may yet swap them out with some of those other blogs you're reading!
