Advertising
Okay, no one really likes advertising. However, everyone likes that TechLore is free, and we're trying our best to keep it that way. The Internet world relies on advertising to pay the bills, whether we like it or not. You're going to see new, and a little more, advertising on the site over the coming months. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work on this next phase. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the advertising you see is relevant, tasteful, and as unobtrusive as possible (unlike the picture to the right). As a courtesy to our members, we are avoiding pop-up advertising for the forseeable future. If you are getting pop-up advertising while browsing TechLore, your system may be infected with spyware/malware.
How can you help keep TechLore free? One way is to visit a sponsor from time to time by clicking on one of the various advertisements on the site, but don't forget the other ways you can help TechLore! Take some time to chat with other members in the forums or disussion threads, share your knowledge, experience, or opinion in an article or quicktip, and tell everyone you know about the TechLore Community. Every little bit counts!
We all have questions whether its about TVs, MP3 players, DVRs, smartphones, or digital cameras. Sure, buying the right gadget can be tough but it doesn't stop there. Just learning a new device can sometimes be tricky and you'll want to find new ways to use it over the months and years. We created TechLore to help you get the most out of your gear - someone needed to do it and we think this Community is the best solution. In this Blog we will share our vision and engage our members to help build the best resource for the millions of us who need answers!
